Our friends and clients, Dan and Ashley Clifford, recently undertook a major home renovation where they gutted their entire 1950’s rambler and transformed it into a completely open and modern dream home.  And if a home renovation wasn’t enough, Dan accepted a new job where he’ll be working from home a few days a week.  The good news is they have the perfect space for a home office in their basement where Dan can look out the giant picture window and see their adorable dogs, Buxton and Zoey, playing in the backyard.

The design of Dan’s desk is fairly simple – 30″ deep by 72″ long.  For materials we went with solid oak with an espresso stain to match the beautiful woodwork in their house, and welded steel legs from Room & Board to match the amazing staircase railing they had fabricated.

Here’s a few photos to show the progress so far, and we’ll update as we complete the project.

And below are a few pictures of the finished product.  The legs are Parsons table legs from Room & Board.  We’re very happy with how this desk turned out for our good friends, Dan and Ashley!
