This is an amazingly beautiful coffee table built with a live edge slab of suar wood (also known as monkey pod), which is a sustainable hardwood grown in South America. We love Suar wood for it’s environmental benefits – over 100 tons of carbon dioxide can be absorbed by a single tree – and although the wood for this table came from a tree that fell, Suar trees grow very quickly, thus the great sustainability of these beautiful trees!
*Cool fact: The name monkey pod comes from the monkeys that gather under the shade of these large trees and eat the seeds that fall to the ground.
The legs of this table are handcrafted heavy duty flat bar steel, giving the table a sturdy and attractive base.
Dimensions: 45″ x 28″ x 16″ *as this is a live edge table, the edges are not square.
